Welcome to the Mount Vernon Preschool. As one of the ministries of the church, the preschool serves the community by providing the best in preschool education and by witnessing how Jesus Christ can change lives. Our main purpose is to provide Christian care and to nurture your child cognitively, physically, spiritually, socially and emotionally.
The purpose of this handbook is to provide you with very important information about the Mount Vernon Preschool. Please take the time to read it carefully and discuss any questions you may have about the material with us. You may call the preschool office at 804-935-0162. Please be aware that these policies and procedures may change at any time at the discretion of the Mount Vernon Preschool. We will make every effort to advise you of any changes in a timely manner. Enrichment Classes provide children with an opportunity to explore a new skill or interest. These are offered after regular Mount Vernon Preschool classes for an additional fee. Enrichment Classes are generally 30-45 minutes in length depending on the program. Currently, We offer Soccer, Art, Dance, Golf and Tennis.
Enrichment classes meet from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. During this time, children eat lunch, participate in a 30-45 minute lesson & play. Parents provide a peanut/tree nut free lunch for their child. Enrichment Classes are led by instructors from local businesses, however preschool staff members remain with the children at all times.
