Enrichment Classes provide children with an opportunity to explore a new skill or interest. These are offered after regular Mount Vernon Preschool classes for an additional fee. Enrichment Classes are generally 30-45 minutes in length depending on the program. Currently, MVP offers Soccer, Art, Dance, Golf and Tennis.

Enrichment classes meet from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. During this time, children eat lunch, participate in a 30-45 minute lesson & play. Parents provide a peanut/tree nut free lunch for their child. Enrichment Classes are led by instructors from local businesses, however MVP staff members remain with the children at all times.

• Download the Session Specific Registration Form under the Enrichment Class.
• Fill the form in.
• Email to Laura Cottrell ( ) or turn it into the MVP office.
• Payment is due at the time of enrollment. You may pay online or drop payment off in the MVP office.

Soccer

Soccer Shots utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation.

Art

Each six-eight week session will focus on the fundamentals of art and design. The children will study line, shape, color, form and texture all while studying the works of famous artists. We will use paint, collage materials, oil pastels and more to create our masterpieces! All new lessons for each session!

Dance

Each session of our Dance enrichment class provides an introduction to a different type of dance through rhythm, movement, basic steps and energetic fun!  Sessions include Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop.

Golf/Tennis

Sportz4Life is a fun new and exciting KIDS GOLF and/or TENNIS after school enrichment program taught on site at your school by some of Virginia’s best coaches! Perfect for kids ages 3-10.

Our golf classes utilize technology for younger kids like:
- Age appropriate smaller light weight clubs
- Zero compression foam balls
- Kid age pitching and putting greens

Our tennis class utilizes the USTA's new 10 & under concepts and technology for younger kids like:                                                 -Zero compression foam balls                                                 -Smaller mini tennis nets etc.

Lunch Bunch

Lunch Bunch is an extended day play program. Lunch Bunch meets from 12pm-2pm. Children eat a parent provided, peanut/tree nut free lunch and enjoy time playing with other children in both the classroom and on the playground.

Lunch Bunch enrollment is by session.  Drop-in Lunch Bunch is available for a cost of $20/day.  MVP does not refund Lunch Bunch fees if a child is absent.
